The event is an initiative by both BMS and UKEC to garner awareness on UK internship opportunities amongst Malaysian students. Through this event, we aim to equip students with relevant knowledge on the recruitment process and internship experience in the UK to help them in their pursuit of landing an internship or getting a graduate role.

The experienced speakers provided attendees with an excellent overview of the opportunities that exist within the renewable and clean energy sector in Malaysia and highlighted the potential for building on the strong UK connections to help access finance and accelerate expansion toward the country’s renewable energy capacity target and beyond. The speaker team who presented, and their main topics were as follows: Eloise Burnett, South East Asia Manager, The Carbon Trust Plc spoke on energy efficiency opportunities and the financial support that can be provided to SE Asian based companies and sectors transitioning to a low carbon economy.

The British Malaysian Society presents brand identity subject matter experts Sabila Din and Professor Phil Cleaver: Sabila Din, CEO and Founder of Din Consultants who will set the scene on what is a brand, how brands have to change/adapt to a covid-19 world where consumers and their values are changing. Also how purpose-driven brands have done with some examples of shifts taking place. BMS member Professor Phil Cleaver who will then deliver his talk on “ How to build a Brand Identity System “ His book “What they didn’t Teach You in Design School” has been described as an enlightening, engrossing, no-nonsense guide to visual creativity in the real world.
