TRAVEL DISRUPTION ON 9 SEPTEMBER - EVENT STILL ON!

Despite the difficulties travellers are expected to experience with travel due to the threatened tube strike from 7th - 11th September, many attendees who have already booked say that they are still able to attend.

Accordingly, BMS is still planning to proceed with this event on 9 September. 

On Tuesday 9 September London Underground and DLR services are not expected to be running. However, London Overground, Elizabeth Line, Trams and buses are expected to be running as normal. These will be busy so best to allow extra time for travel.

BMS Autumn Reception at the Guildhall

Please join BMS members and potential members for an evening of networking and to hear about the benefits of being a BMS member and our lively programme of events. Speakers include Nick Dutton, Chair of Membership at BMS and others who will cover the activities of BMS Trade & Investment, Travel & Tourusm, Culture and Education.

Founded 41 years ago, BMS actively promotes bi-lateral relations between UK and Malaysia. Membership is open to all as you do not need to be Malaysian to join.

New BMS Exco member Agnes Xavier-Phillips JP DL FLSW, who is from Ipoh, will share her journey as a teacher, nurse, lawyer, member of various boards and being the first Malaysian to be the Master of the Worshipful Livery Company of Wales.

This event is for all members, friends of members and anyone interested in learning more about the BMS.

Time:  6:00 for 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Venue: Members' Dining Room, The Guildhall Club, West Wing Entrance, City of London Corporation, Gresham Street, London EC2Y 7HH

Nearest Tube stations:  Moorgate, St Paul's, Bank

Dress Code:  Business attire / Smart casual

COST ( covers refreshments)

BMS Members: £35 pp
Non-BMS members: £45 pp

There will ba a £20 discount on the first year's BMS subscription for those joining BMS as a result of this event. This discount will be given by issuing a refund of £20 once the new subscription is confirmed.
