THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER TO MALAYSIA

The British Malaysian Society is delighted to welcome HE Ailsa Terry CMG, the
High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Malaysia, to join us for a
briefing at 5.30 pm on Monday 24 June at the Oriental Club to
provide an update on the current position of and prospects for international
trade and investment in Malaysia.

HE Ailsa Terry CMG started as the British High Commissioner to Malaysia in August 2023 in succession to Charles Hay MVO. Before taking up the post of High Commissioner, she was the Director of the FCDO’s inaugural Sanctions Directorate from 2022 to 2023, which was established as part of the UK’s response to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

She was the Foreign Affairs Sous- Sherpa and FCDO director for the U.K. Presidency of the G7 in 2021. Prior to this she worked in the  National Security Secretariat in the Cabinet Office which supports the work of the National Security Council.
