DUE TO THE CRAMPED SCHEDULE DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO THE AUTUMN.

BMS will advise when a new date has been selected.

Both the British Malaysian Society (BMS) and Television for the Environment (tve) are celebrating their 40th anniversaries this year. To mark this joint milestone, BMS and tve are holding a High Tea at the Bright Courtyard which will include a screening of the documentary "Women holding up half the Sky", made by tve for the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995.

The filmmaker Shuyun Sun will be at the event.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion on women's issues since that date.

Date: 14 July 2024 (this was the proposed date - this event was postponed and will place later in the Autumn).

Time: 3:30pm to 7:00pm
