INVITATION TO PANEL DISCUSSION ON " CURRENT UK PROPERTY MARKET & RELATED ISSUES " 

THURSDAY 14 MAY 2026 AT 6PM TO 8.45PM     

This event  is aimed at BMS members and others  interested in  having a useful  update on what is the current state of the Residential and Commercial Property market in the UK, what are  possible areas to consider for foreign investors from Malaysia or elsewhere, and what are relevant tax, financing and legal issues  which need to be considered.

This panel discussion on UK-Malaysia Property Investment and related
issues is followed by Networking Reception.

Although the venue address is Sky Lounge, 20th Floor, One Bishopsgate Plaza, London EC3A 7AB, Use the main entrance to the new Pan Pacific Hotel at 81 Houndsditch London EC3A 7AB.  Entrance is the same as to the hotel but there is a different lift for the Sky Residences to the 20th Floor .

PANEL SPEAKERS 

Our panel of speakers  include:

Wai Kit Chan - Senior Director, UK Sotheby's International Realty
Experienced real estate professional specialising in high end residential properties across London and key European cities working closely with HNW and UHNW clients from the APAC region.

Melissa Ng  ACA CTA -  Private Capital Tax Partner at accountancy and advisory firm, S&W.
Melissa specialises in advising international private capital investors, including funds, corporates and family businesses on their cross border investments with a focus on a wide range of real estate asset classes.

Fei Ren  CFA - Senior Relationship Manager at HSBC UK Private Bank 
Fei works with internationally mobile UNHNW and HNW Asian private clients and families. She has extensive experience advising on and delivering suitable private banking and wealth management solutions for Asian clients.

Liam Monaghan - Managing Director at LCP Private Office  
Liam is the Managing Director at this London buying agency. He has been with the company for over 10 years and has been helping UK and international clients acquire, renovate, design, let and manage their properties in London.

Tom Reynolds- Cross -Border Investment Partner at Trowers & Hamlins LLP
Tom is a Partner in the international Corporate Department of international law firm Trowers & Hamlins LLP, which has offices in the UK, the Middle East, Malaysia and Singapore . He is experienced in advising on corporate, commercial, banking and finance transactions including acting for clients who have invested in the property sector . Tom was a Partner in the KL office of the firm from 2018 for over 8 years. He returned to the UK in 2024 and will be re-joining the team in the KL office at the end of July 2026.

 
The panel discussion will be moderated by Chair of the BMS International Trade & Investment Group David Stringer-Lamarre, Managing Director of Fortis Consulting London Limited, which acts for a number of international clients.
