Screening of "OCEAN" and President's 2025 Reception
Please join us for a special screening of OCEAN by the legendary broadcaster David Attenborough and filmmaker which will take you on a breathtaking journey of ocean discovery and wonder.
Made to celebrate his 99th birthday, this documentary shows there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life or surprise than the ocean.
In his words "After living nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land but at sea". Attenborough's greatest message of optimism is that the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.
President's Reception
The annual BMS post AGM President's Reception will follow the screening.
BMS President Sir Mark Moody-Stuart KCMG is a highly successful international businessman having chaired Royal Dutch Shell, Anglo American, Hermes Equity Ownership Sevices as well as the UN Global Compact Foundation. His directorships have included HSBC Holdings and Saudi Aramco. Sir Mark is a great supporter of environmental and sustainability issues over many years and a very keen sailor.

The cost covers the cost of the screening, drinks and canapes and a donation to tve (televission for the environment), which is chaired by BMS Chair Mei Sim Lai OBE DL, and the Ladies Float fund for this year's Lord Mayor's Show.
